Further, there is evidence that use of native plants also adds to the well being and refurbishment of our ecosystem.

What are natives?
Natives are plants that have grown in place over centuries and are dispersed across the countryside chiefly in reaction to climate changes and adaptation to conditions of soil. Natives are commonly referred to as plants that grew in North America before the arrival of Europeans. The Europeans introduced a large number of “exotic “plants and in many places which resulted in eradication of native plants. Further, migration of the American population within States resulted in more plant diversity but loss of native plant populations in some localities.
There is no question that some exotic plants and tress are beautiful and harmless but many others do pose a threat to the ecosystem and biodiversity.
There have been instances when growth of exotic plants has gone wild and this has resulted in natural changes in floral composition of native plant populations. Often the wild growth of exotics has resulted in a complete wipe out of native plants. Further, some exotic plants have also been known to be vectors for disease transmission and proliferation of insects.
One of the ways to control harm done by exotic plants is to re introduce native species.
